Mr. Ahn started his career in 2000 as the youngest manager at eSamsung HQ under JY Lee. He subsequently worked with and represented several offshore capital firms including Natixis Private Equity Asia.
As an advisor to several Korean government agencies, including Seoul Business Agency, Mr. Ahn has mentored numerous startups internationally. A prolific writer, he had his own daily radio show for 18 months on EBS, a state-owned broadcasting station. He is a proud graduate of the Bronx School of Science and studied engineering at Cooper Union, economics at Oberlin College, and law at the University of California Hastings College of Law and Brooklyn Law School.
In addition to being a father of four girls, Mr. Ahn is fluent in Korean and Japanese as well. He also serves as an advisor to Lucyd Technology and BL∆KFX.
Mr. Ahn oversees the firm’s ICO investments and strategic partnership service.
Mr. Hekmatpour is a current undergraduate student at the NYU Stern School of Business studying finance and data/computing science. In his first year of college, he co-founded the NYU Blockchain Collective and sits as a member of the Stern Finance Society and Strategic Venture Society.
In high school, Mr. Hekmatpour successfully co-managed a long/short equity hedge fund and graduated valedictorian of his class at St. John’s Preparatory School. He began personally investing in cryptocurrencies in 2016.
Mr. Hekmatpour now serves as an operational advisor to the firm.
Mr. Tanaka currently works on the development of Lucid’s trading infrastructure, including but not limited to algorithm research, data mining, server set-up, and technology management.
In addition to his data science role, Mr. Tanaka jointly manages the firm’s trading portfolios alongside Mr. Hekmatpour.
